Beauty has always been personal to me.
I’m Mariana — a bridal hair and makeup artist based in Playa del Carmen, creating refined, personalized beauty for destination weddings in Mexico and beyond.
After 16 years behind the brush, I still believe the best beauty begins with something simple: understanding the woman in my chair.
And when the brushes are down, I’m happiest near the beach, with good coffee, music, pasta — and the mini fan I apparently need to survive the Riviera Maya.
MY STORY
16 years behind the brush — and still, every face is different.
My career as a makeup artist began in Mexico City, working in professional productions and television.
It was a world that taught me far more than technique.
I learned to pay attention to the smallest details. To work calmly under pressure. To understand how beauty translates both in person and through a camera. And to recognize that great makeup isn't about applying more — it's about knowing what belongs and what doesn't.
Nine years ago, life brought me to Playa del Carmen.
And somewhere between the Caribbean, destination weddings and the incredible women who traveled here to celebrate one of the most important days of their lives, my work found a new direction.
Bridal beauty became home.
MY APPROACH
I don’t believe in giving
every bride the same face.
Every woman who sits in my chair brings something different — her features, her personal style, the way she normally wears makeup, the things she loves and sometimes even the things she isn’t quite sure how to explain.
My job is to listen.
Then I consider the complete picture: your dress and neckline, your hair, your accessories, your wedding setting, the climate, the light, the photography — and how you want to feel when everything comes together.
Sometimes that means barely-there beauty.
Sometimes polished soft glam.
Sometimes something a little more defined.
The goal is never to make you look like my idea of a bride.
The goal is to make you look like you — beautifully considered.
